Dean has over 20 years of experience as an estimator, with his entire career spent in the heavy engineering and construction industry. He has successfully managed and developed many teams to produce estimates for projects at all stages in the mining, gas, energy, infrastructure and minerals processing sectors. Dean has demonstrated elite capability in preparing competitive EPC and construction bids for multi-discipline infrastructure projects across Indonesia, Samoa, PNG and New Zealand.

How did you end up in this career?
I started by completing an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering before moving into an estimating role in 1995 for an industrial power plant design and construction company. I worked my way up to senior estimator in 1997 after obtaining valuable experience across various projects. I continued to expand my knowledge and horizons over the next 25 years, working with different established companies across many industries before joining Axiom in 2021.
