    From humble beginnings in 2005 to the established enterprise we are today, our valued history is the foundation of our present-day success.     2005

    Axiom was formed

    In 2005, Ian Barnes decided to launch Axiom as a sole proprietorship, with a vision to provide exceptional project planning and estimating services for the mining sector.

    2006

    A shift in business

    In early 2006, Axiom began its initial company growth. Doug Logan joined forces with Ian to work on the Alcan G3 expansion project, and continued to steer Axiom’s success for years to come.

    2007

    Broadening horizons

    In 2007, the ever-growing Axiom team landed their first international job in West Africa. We also started expanding our sector capabilities by partnering with our first power project in West Kimberley, Australia.

    2010

    Enhancing authority

    By 2010, our expertise had heightened to new levels. We began working on the George Fisher Mine expansion and several other large projects in various sectors.

    2011

    Company expansion

    We recognised and took the opportunity to establish our presence as a PMC leader and opened Axiom Project Services Papua New Guinea Ltd. Our team also managed the Gladstone Port Expansion project.

    2012

    Team growth

    By 2012, our team had grown to 30+ consultants (owners and staff). We further extended our capabilities, partnering with CNG to deliver multiple gas projects.

    2014

    Intelligent re-structure

    Following a downturn in the mining industry around 2014, we had to downsize our team but managed to retain our key capabilities by having senior staff become business owners.

    2017

    Turning solar

    After years of steady growth, we recognised our increased capability to branch out into the solar industry and managed our first solar project in Central Queensland in 2017.

    2019

    Reaching new heights

    In 2019 we broadened our services to include Project Management & Construction Management and starting working in the water infrastrcutre sector, with Sunwater. Axiom also successfully provided substancial Transaction Management services for Stadiums Queensland.

    2020

    In 2020, we commenced working with MACH Energy on the Rail 2 Project as the PMC, which was successfully completed in 2022.

    2021

    New opportunities

    In 2021, we opened our office in Orange, NSW, to allow more streamlined and integrated Project Management services for projects in regional NSW. We also commenced work with Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB), who remains a valued client.

    2022

    Focused on the future

    As we continue to refine and expand our capabilities, we are excited to announce that we have formed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mintrex. This collaboration will allow us to broaden our core skill set, service abilities, office locations and sectors for years to come.
