How did you end up in this career?
After I finished my degree as a Civil Engineer in Colombia, I decided to study a Masters in Environmental Engineering in Australia. When I started my professional experience in this country, I understood the importance of being a Project Manager and the value it brings to the project. When I returned back home (Colombia), I started a job as a Project Controls and Scheduler. Since then, combined with a PM role, I understand the need to balance scope, time and cost to maintain a high-quality project.

Why choose Axiom?
5 years ago, I started my engagement with Axiom as a client requirement in Melbourne. When I saw the position description online, I knew that the job was for me, as for the last 10 years, it was what I had done and what I was passionate about. For that reason I put all my efforts and will to get the job.
At that time, I never imagined the quality and professionalism of the people I met within the company. Axiom Founders, Directors and Managers always care about their team. They always care about training and professional development. Today I can say that AXIOM for me is more than a workplace, it is a family that cares. It cares about their employees and clients looking for the best for all parties. I feel very proud to be part of this “family”.

What would your advice be for those starting out?
Always listen to those who have experience in the work to be developed, and learn from their professional qualities and what they have achieved. To always be honest and responsible with the assigned functions and understand that something can be learned from each person. Expert judgement, communication and respect are the foundations of a good Project Management.
