Rail 2 Project
MACH Energy Australia owns and operates the Mount Pleasant Operation (MPO), located roughly 3 km northwest of Muswellbrook. MPO’s existing rail infrastructure currently sits south of Wybong Road. The Department of Planning and Environment approved Modification 4 in November 2018, which seeks to relocate the rail, water, and associated electricity supply infrastructure.
Axiom´s execution strategy for the Rail 2 Project as the Project Management Contractor (PMC) consisted of the following:
- Seamless coordination of all service providers and contractors as defined within the scope of responsibilities.
- Expert Project and Construction Management (including logistics and pre-commissioning) of all Process plant and ancillary works.
- Reliable support for MACH ENERGY in the management of the project.

Mach Energy Australia, based in Muswellbrook NSW, delivered a new Rail Loop, TLO and associated infrasture to deliver coal to port from their mining operations. The old rail loop had to be decommissioned, and this new one built as part of the upgrade. We had 4 time-lapse cameras on this project, that lasted almost 2 years from green fields to a fully operational facility.
